In the coming months, a palace of historical character will be completed in a central but quiet area of the town Diez in the German federal state Rhineland-Palatinate. A noble building, which will provide living space, offices and relaxation areas, is being constructed within c. 70,000 m2 of grounds in one of the most attractive regions in Germany.
The New Diez Palace, or Neues Schloss Diez as it is named in German, is a completely unique project, never carried out before. The building, measuring c. 100 metres long, 26 metres wide and 23 metres high, is expected to be available for private and business functions and open for visitors and participants of cultural events in 2009.
The elegant natural sandstone façade, the wide alignment of windows, the entrance framed with pillars and the graceful roof made with natural slate will give the New Diez Palace a truly stately character. The exquisitely designed south-facing grounds incorporating a blend of clear lines with ornate, decorative features will exalt any visitor and entice them to stroll around and relax in its beauty.
The lovingly crafted unique details together with an awareness of quality complete the whole embodiment of the palace grounds. In today’s fast and frenzied world of technology the New Diez Palace will be a place of peace and calm, inspired by old and established architecture and style.
Palaces have always been regionally important places, characterising and bringing together economy and culture.
While most palaces today are purely places open for public viewing, this new palace will be alive. A palace to live in, work in, feel at home and relax in. At the same time this artistic and fascinating building will arouse interest in history and culture.
Companies and private individuals alike will desire to use the palace for their functions because of its historical atmosphere and chosen location in one of the most attractive regions in Germany. Situated in the centre of the country, the palace has excellent connections to the A3 motorway to Cologne or Frankfurt and is only 10 minutes away from the Intercity Express station (ICE) just outside Limburg (Limburg Süd).
The estate is a true landmark on the side of the Sonnenberg hill and will be the destination for many a walker or passer-by.
